NEET 2016 Result (Phase 1 and Phase 2)- As a combined and unified test the Government of India, Supreme court, CBSE “Central Board of Secondary Education” and Medical Council of India has finally come to a conclusion which resulted in merging all other entrance exam to one, naming it as NEET “National Eligibility cum Entrance Test” this is for students who will be passing their higher secondary exams or 12th standard. There will be a different test altogether for students looking for post-graduate study. Taking this test will make students eligible for dental courses as well. Earlier there were different national and regional test organized by the respective state government, CBSE and other organizations. This decision came into existence after a long discussion and hassle in the court.

However, there are still some of the colleges which do not accept NEET and are conducting their own examination to name a few are JIPMER- Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education, All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi and Postgraduate Institute for Medical Education and Jawaharlal Institute for Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh.
NEET was initially proposed to begin in 2012 but seeing the objection from Medical Council of India and Central Board for Secondary Education it was postponed for a year. Finally, the test was commenced in 2013 on 5th of May. But 115 petitions were filed supporting the opposition of the test. Hence the decision was made by Supreme Court that Medical Council of India cannot interfere in in the admission process for the colleges.
Finally, Supreme Court rolled out the dates and on 1st May 2016 first phase of NEET i.e AIPMT (All India Pre-Medical Test) was held. The second phase was conducted on 24th July, the students appeared for the first time can reappear but they have to forget their first phase scores. Seats to grab are only 3500 which students have to put a good fight. A total number of students who intended to study medical were approximately 6 Lakhs. The competition every year is at peak for a seat. Lately, there was an allegation that the paper was leaked of phase 2 and a petition was filed to cancel the test.
Supreme Court washed off their hands and declined to intervene in the matter which Uttrakhand cops was probing. Police were demanding to cancel the test. Finally after lots of speculations and rumors the phase 2 of the test was completed on July 24th. Continuing to the probe five arrests were made in the association to the paper leak. The main center of attraction in respect to the paper leak was Haldwani. In the city, more than 4000 students took the test. However, CBSE rejects to believe that paper was leaked and continued with the test.
