Apple is preparing a major update for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, and leaks suggest that this will be one of the most notable generations in recent years. The official announcement is expected in the fall of 2025, and the devices will receive a number of innovations, both external and “under the hood”. In the new device, you will easily recognize the iPhone, but some of its features and innovations will definitely surprise you.
We counted ten differences between the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro at once. Perhaps, in recent years, this will be one of the most significant updates that will surely push fans of Apple technology to buy a new smartphone :
- One of the most discussed changes may be the transition from a titanium case to an aluminum one. This decision looks unexpected, given how Apple promoted titanium in the iPhone 15 Pro. However, aluminum is lighter, easier to manufacture, and potentially better at dissipating heat. This can make the device slightly less “premium” to the touch, but more practical to use;
- Under the hood, the A19 Pro chip is expected, made according to the 3-nm process technology. It will provide an increase in power and energy efficiency, which is especially important for new AI functions based on Apple Intelligence;

- The screen in both models will receive an anti-glare coating and improved protection from scratches. In theory, this should eliminate the need to use protective films and glasses, but we know that it is better to protect the iPhone after all;
- Well, don’t forget about the new design. iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will receive a redesigned camera module. Now it will not be a neat square in the corner of the screen, but a full-width rectangle. By the way, the covers for the camera block will also have a cutout of the appropriate size.
